MJF Defeats Kenny Omega in AEW Dynasty Main Event: MJF successfully retained the AEW World Championship after defeating Kenny Omega in the main event of AEW Dynasty 2026.
The match featured intense action and several dramatic moments as both wrestlers came close to victory multiple times. Despite strong support from the crowd for Omega, MJF managed to hold on to the championship and left the event still wearing the title belt known as the “Triple B.”
Kenny Omega Controls Early Moments
Kenny Omega started the match strongly by using several of his signature moves to put pressure on the champion.
He performed the Terminator dive, the “You Can’t Escape” combination, and the Snap Dragon Suplex. One of the highlights of the match came when Omega delivered a Golden Star Moonsault to the outside, a tribute to his longtime friend Kota Ibushi.
Omega looked close to finishing the match several times as the crowd reacted loudly to each near fall.
Chaotic Ending Changes the Match
The match took a chaotic turn in the final moments. MJF pulled referee Bryce Remsburg into the path of a V-Trigger strike intended for him.
Even after the referee incident, Omega continued his attack and delivered the One-Winged Angel. He later followed it with an Avalanche One-Winged Angel, but MJF rolled out of the ring to survive.
Outside the ring, MJF struck Omega with the Dynamite Diamond Ring and then delivered a Tombstone Piledriver through a table.
After bringing Omega back toward the ring area, MJF returned to the ring and finished the match with his Heatseeker move to secure the victory.

Key Turning Points in the Match
Several moments nearly changed the result of the main event.
Omega attempted the One-Winged Angel multiple times and used the V-Trigger to create openings. A series of counters, dropkicks, and fast exchanges kept the match competitive until the end.
MJF’s use of the Dynamite Diamond Ring proved to be the decisive factor. The referee distraction and the table spot outside the ring also helped the champion survive Omega’s biggest attacks.
Darby Allin Next in Line for the Championship
MJF will not have long to celebrate his victory. The champion is scheduled to defend the AEW World Championship again on the Spring BreakThru edition of AEW Dynamite.
The event will take place in Everett, Washington, where MJF will face Darby Allin.
Allin earned the championship opportunity earlier on the Dynasty card after defeating Andrade El Idolo. After the win, Allin immediately called for a title match against MJF.
With momentum from his victory, Allin will enter Dynamite hoping to capture the championship.
