Scorpio Sky recently looked back on one of the most memorable matches of his career — a tag team bout against Sting and Darby Allin at AEW Double Or Nothing in 2021. The AEW star said the experience of sharing the ring with Sting felt special and unlike anything else he had experienced in wrestling.

Sky explained that the atmosphere, the crowd reaction, and Sting’s presence in the ring created a moment that still stands out years later.

The Memorable Tag Match at AEW Double Or Nothing 2021

At AEW Double Or Nothing 2021, Scorpio Sky teamed up with Ethan Page to face the popular duo of Sting and Darby Allin. The match was one of the highlights of the event and quickly became a memorable moment for fans watching the pay-per-view.

For Sky, the match carried even more meaning because it allowed him to compete directly against Sting, one of the most respected figures in professional wrestling.

The energy inside the arena that night was intense. Fans reacted loudly every time Sting stepped into the ring, creating a unique atmosphere that helped make the match unforgettable.

Scorpio Sky on Sting’s Unique Ring Presence

During an appearance on the Creating Character Podcast, Scorpio Sky spoke about how different it feels to wrestle someone like Sting.

He explained that Sting brings a certain energy to the ring that is difficult to describe. According to Sky, the crowd reacts to Sting in the same way they did years ago, proving that the legend’s connection with fans remains strong.

Sky said there is a special feeling whenever Sting performs. The veteran star’s movements, timing, and charisma instantly capture the attention of the audience.

He described the experience by saying there is simply “a magic” whenever Sting is in the ring. That reaction was clearly visible during the match at Double Or Nothing.

    What Happened After the Match

Following the 2021 match, Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page moved toward singles competition and did not face Sting again as a team.

Sting continued his run in AEW alongside Darby Allin. The duo remained one of the most popular tag teams in the company.

Their partnership reached a major milestone at AEW Revolution 2024 when Sting and Allin defended their tag team championships against The Young Bucks. The match was widely praised by fans and is still remembered as one of AEW’s most exciting tag team bouts.

After that event, Sting officially retired from professional wrestling.

    Current Status of the Wrestlers

The wrestlers involved in the memorable match have taken different paths since then.

For Scorpio Sky, the tag match at AEW Double Or Nothing remains a defining moment in his career.

The strong fan reaction, the historic presence of Sting, and the overall energy of the match created a lasting memory. Sky believes moments like that are rare in professional wrestling.

Even years later, he still remembers the feeling of sharing the ring with Sting and how the audience responded throughout the match.

The experience, according to Sky, was not just another match on a wrestling card. It was a special night that showed why Sting has remained one of the most respected performers in the industry.
