This is Ireland’s highest-ever total in T20 Internationals and one of the biggest scores in T20 World Cup history.

Early Trouble: Oman Strike in Powerplay

Ireland did not get the perfect start. Left-arm spinner Shakeel Ahmed caused early damage:

    • Tim Tector – 5 (4)
    • Ross Adair – 14 (7)
    • Harry Tector – 14 (13)

Ireland were reduced to 47/3 inside the powerplay, and later slipped to 64/4 when Curtis Campher (12) departed.

At that stage, Oman looked in control and their decision to bowl first seemed to be working.

    Tucker Turns the Game Around

The momentum changed completely when Lorcan Tucker and Gareth Delany came together.
