    T20 International (T20I) cricket is known for big hits, fast runs, and record-breaking innings. With flat pitches, power-hitting batters, and aggressive strategies, teams are now scoring totals that once looked impossible.

    As of 2026, the highest team score in T20I cricket is 344/4, made by Zimbabwe against Gambia in 2024.

    So far, only three teams have crossed the 300-run mark in T20Is:

    • Zimbabwe (344/4)
    • Nepal (314/3)
    • England (304/2)

    1. Zimbabwe – 344/4 vs Gambia (2024)

    Zimbabwe produced the highest-ever T20I score during the Africa Qualifiers. Batting first, they smashed 344 runs in 20 overs, scoring at more than 17 runs per over.

    The innings featured:

    • A breathtaking century from Sikandar Raza
    • Quick-fire fifties from Clive Madande and Tadiwanashe Marumani

    Gambia were bowled out for just 54, giving Zimbabwe a massive 290-run win, the biggest margin in T20I history.

    2. Nepal – 314/3 vs Mongolia (2023)

    Nepal stunned the cricket world at the Asian Games by posting 314/3. After a slow start, their middle order completely dominated the bowling.

    Key moments:

    • Kushal Malla smashed an unbeaten 137*
    • Dipendra Singh Airee hit one of the fastest T20I fifties

    Mongolia were dismissed for 41, resulting in a 273-run victory, the second-largest in T20I history.

    3. England – 304/2 vs South Africa (2025)

    England became the first team to score 300+ runs against a full-member nation. Their batters attacked from ball one.

    Highlights:

    • Phil Salt scored a stunning 141
    • Jos Buttler and Harry Brook provided strong support

    South Africa collapsed while chasing and England won by 146 runs, their biggest T20I victory.

    4. India – 297/6 vs Bangladesh (2024)

    India almost touched the 300 mark in Hyderabad with a powerful batting display.

    Standout performances:

    • Sanju Samson scored a brilliant 111
    • Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya added rapid runs

    Bangladesh managed only 164, handing India a 133-run win.

    5. Spain – 290/3 vs Croatia (2025)

    Spain entered the elite list with 290/3, led by a sensational 160-run knock from Mohammad Ihsan.

    Croatia were restricted to 75/8, and Spain sealed a dominant 215-run victory, one of the largest in T20I cricket.

    6. Zimbabwe – 286/5 vs Seychelles (2024)

    Zimbabwe appear again on the list with another huge total. Despite rain interruptions, they dominated both with bat and ball.

    Brian Bennett and Tadiwanashe Marumani starred, and Seychelles never looked competitive under the revised target.

    7. India – 283/1 vs South Africa (2024)

    India’s second appearance came just weeks later. Their top order completely dismantled South Africa’s bowling attack.

    • Two unbeaten centuries
    • Only one wicket lost in 20 overs

    South Africa were bowled out for 148, giving India a 135-run victory.

    8. Afghanistan – 278/3 vs Ireland (2019)

    This innings is remembered for Hazratullah Zazai’s 162*, one of the greatest individual T20I knocks ever.

    Ireland fought back bravely but still lost by 84 runs.

    9. Czech Republic – 278/4 vs Turkey (2019)

    One of the most one-sided matches in T20I history.

    • Czech Republic scored 278
    • Turkey collapsed for just 21 all out

    The match ended with a staggering 257-run margin.

    10. Nigeria – 271/4 vs Ivory Coast (2024)

    Nigeria produced an all-round masterclass.

    • Selim Salau scored a century
    • Ivory Coast were bowled out for 7 runs, the lowest T20I total ever

    Nigeria won by 264 runs, a record-breaking performance.

    Conclusion:

    Zimbabwe currently hold the crown for the highest T20I score ever with 344/4. Nepal, England, and India follow closely with massive totals of their own.
