Namibia have quietly become one of the most competitive Associate teams in T20 international cricket. Over the past few years, the team has shown strong fighting spirit while chasing targets, including some impressive run chases under pressure. Their biggest successful chase so far stands at 166/4, a landmark achievement that highlights their growth in the shortest format.

With experienced players like Gerhard Erasmus, David Wiese and Jan Frylinck, Namibia have built a reputation for disciplined batting and calm finishes. Even in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2026, the team has shown the ability to challenge bigger totals, proving that they are no longer easy opponents.

In the record chase against Netherlands, Michael van Lingen played a key unbeaten knock of 59, while captain Gerhard Erasmus added crucial runs to guide the team home with three balls to spare.

    Fastest Successful Chase Record

Namibia also hold an interesting record for their quickest chase. In March 2025, they chased a DLS target of 42 runs in just 16 balls against Canada. This remains their fastest successful chase in terms of balls and shows their aggressive intent in shorter targets.
