The Phoenix Suns ruled out Jordan Goodwin with an ankle sprain while Jalen Green remains questionable with knee soreness ahead of Friday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Phoenix Suns released an updated injury report on Thursday following Wednesday night’s game against Dallas. The team confirmed that Jordan Goodwin will miss the upcoming matchup, while Jalen Green remains uncertain for Friday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Phoenix is entering the final stretch of the regular season and has already secured the No. 7 play-in position. As a result, the team appears focused on protecting player health ahead of the postseason.

    Injury Updates from the Suns

The injury report was released on April 10, 2026, in Phoenix after two players were forced to leave the previous game early.

Jordan Goodwin exited Wednesday’s contest with a lower-body injury and did not return. The team later confirmed he suffered a left ankle sprain and will be unavailable for the upcoming game.

Jalen Green also left the same game due to right knee soreness. He initially attempted to return before the third quarter but eventually went back to the locker room. His status remains uncertain heading into the next matchup.

    Impact on the Suns Rotation

Jordan Goodwin’s absence removes an important defensive presence from the Suns lineup. He has been a reliable perimeter defender and an energetic contributor throughout the season. Without him, Phoenix may need to adjust its defensive rotations heading into the Lakers game.

The team has not announced a timetable for Goodwin’s return. Because the Suns have already secured their play-in position, the medical staff could take a cautious approach with his recovery.

    Jalen Green Status Still Uncertain

Jalen Green’s situation remains unclear. The guard has already missed a large portion of the season due to a previous hamstring issue, and the Suns appear willing to prioritize long-term health over rushing him back.

Although there is still a chance he could return before the regular season ends, the team has not guaranteed his availability for Friday’s matchup.

Suns Managing Key Players Before Play-In

Devin Booker and Haywood Highsmith are also unavailable as the Suns manage ankle and knee issues. The organization’s approach suggests a clear focus on having its core players healthy for the postseason rather than risking further injuries late in the regular season.

With the play-in tournament approaching, Phoenix’s lineup decisions over the next few games may continue to prioritize recovery and player readiness.

    Next Game for Phoenix

The Suns are scheduled to face the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night.

As the regular season winds down, Phoenix’s main objective will be keeping its roster healthy and prepared for the play-in stage and the potential playoff run that follows.
