WWE Elimination Chamber 2026 delivered another major surprise as Danhausen officially made his debut during the premium live event in Chicago. After weeks of mystery surrounding a sealed crate appearing on Raw and SmackDown, the secret was finally revealed inside the United Center on February 28.
The unexpected arrival came after the conclusion of the main event, adding a dramatic and entertaining moment to an already eventful night on the road to WrestleMania 42.
Mystery Crate Opens to Reveal Danhausen
For several weeks, WWE programming showed a large crate being delivered backstage with instructions not to open it until Elimination Chamber. When the moment finally arrived, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis came to the stage to unlock it.

Inside the crate was a coffin, and when it opened, Danhausen appeared to a mix of cheers and surprise from the Chicago crowd. He entered alongside performers wearing his signature face paint, creating a theatrical and unique presentation that matched his well-known character style.
Danhausen then made his way to ringside and handed commentator Michael Cole a cup filled with teeth, one of his trademark props, before returning to the ring to complete a short performance with the dancers. Moments later, the arena lights went out, and when they came back on, Danhausen had mysteriously disappeared.

Quick Move from AEW to WWE
The debut came just one day after Danhausen was removed from another promotion’s roster, marking a rapid transition into WWE. He had not been active in the ring for an extended period but remained a popular cult figure among wrestling fans due to his unique horror-comedy persona.
His character, known for blending dark humor with theatrical presentation, brings something different to the WWE roster, especially during a season where the company is building momentum toward WrestleMania.
