The Atlanta Braves have announced a major change in how fans will watch their games. Starting with the 2026 MLB season, the team will launch its own in-house television network called BravesVision, taking full control of local game production, distribution, and fan content.

This move marks a new era for the franchise as it looks to improve viewing access, reduce blackout frustrations, and strengthen its connection with fans across the Southeast.

    What Is BravesVision?

BravesVision will become the official local broadcast home for the team. By managing the network internally, the Braves will control how games are produced, presented, and delivered across different platforms.

The new network will cover fans across a wide regional footprint and offer a mix of live games, studio shows, and exclusive team content.

Focus on Streaming and Fewer Blackouts

One of the biggest benefits for fans will be better streaming access. Games that are not nationally exclusive will be available on Braves.TV, allowing local viewers to watch without traditional blackout restrictions.

Out-of-market subscription options will also be available, making it easier for fans outside the region to follow the team.

In addition, the Braves will continue their partnership with Gray Media to air selected games for free over the air in Atlanta and surrounding markets. Spring training coverage will also reach multiple regional markets.

    National Broadcasts Will Continue

While BravesVision will handle local coverage, nationally selected games will still appear on major platforms such as FOX, ESPN, TBS, Peacock, Apple TV, and other national partners.

    Team Leadership Explains the Vision

Braves President and CEO Derek Schiller said the new network allows the organization to bring one of its most important fan connections back under team control. He emphasized that BravesVision will create new storytelling opportunities and deliver the game experience in more innovative ways across platforms.

The goal is not only to show games but also to expand behind-the-scenes access, player features, and fan-focused programming.

The Braves’ decision to create their own broadcast network reflects a growing trend in professional sports, where teams want more control over their media and direct relationships with fans.

With BravesVision set to debut in 2026, the organization is positioning itself to deliver a more modern and accessible viewing experience for the next generation of Braves fans.
