The Golden State Warriors will host the Houston Rockets on Sunday night at Chase Center in an important Western Conference matchup as the NBA regular season approaches its final stretch. Both teams enter the game with very different momentum, and injuries could play a major role in deciding the outcome.

Houston comes into the contest riding a strong winning streak and holding a solid playoff position. Golden State, meanwhile, is trying to recover from a recent home loss and keep its postseason hopes alive.

The biggest storyline ahead of the matchup revolves around the availability of several key players, including Stephen Curry for the Warriors.

    Team Form Before the Match

Houston arrives in California after an impressive victory, while Golden State is looking to bounce back after a disappointing defeat.

Golden State Warriors36–41Lost to Cleveland Cavaliers 118–10110th

The Rockets have been one of the most in-form teams recently, extending their winning run with a dominant performance against the Jazz. Golden State, on the other hand, has struggled with consistency and is currently trying to end a losing stretch.

    Rockets Continue Strong Momentum

Houston enters the game with confidence after a commanding win against Utah. Forward Kevin Durant led the team with an impressive performance, scoring 25 points while also contributing five rebounds and six assists.

Young guard Amen Thompson also played a key role in the victory. He recorded 21 points along with eight rebounds and four assists, helping the Rockets control the game from start to finish.

Houston’s balanced offense and strong defensive effort have been major reasons for their recent success.

Warriors Looking to Respond After Cavaliers Loss

Golden State’s most recent game ended in a 118–101 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers at Chase Center. Despite the defeat, Brandin Podziemski delivered one of his best performances of the season.

Podziemski scored 25 points while adding four rebounds and four assists. Forward Gui Santos also stepped up with the same stat line, finishing with 25 points, four rebounds, and four assists.

The Warriors will now try to turn things around against a strong Houston team.

    Houston Rockets Injury Report

Houston will enter the matchup without two key players who remain sidelined due to injuries.

Fred VanVleet continues to recover from a torn ACL suffered earlier in the season. Veteran center Steven Adams is also unavailable as he continues rehabilitation following ankle surgery and will miss the remainder of the season.

Despite those absences, the Rockets have continued to perform well thanks to strong contributions from their younger players and experienced scorers.

    Warriors Injury Report

Golden State has several players listed on the injury report ahead of Sunday’s game.

Stephen Curry’s availability remains the biggest question for the Warriors. The star guard has been dealing with a right knee injury that has kept him sidelined since late January. He is currently listed as questionable but is expected to have a chance to return.

Gui Santos is listed as probable and is expected to play despite a pelvic contusion.

Golden State will definitely be without several players, including Al Horford, Quinten Post, Jimmy Butler, and Moses Moody.

    Expected Starting Lineups

Both teams are expected to rely heavily on their core players for Sunday’s game.
